もう散々言われている話ではありますが、実名で活動してようと、ハンドル名で活動していようと、都合が悪い事を書き込むときには匿名で書くということが可能です。

そのため「ネット上で実名で発言している」というのと「その人が匿名の書き込みを一切していない」というのは同義ではなく、実名で発言する人を増やしたところで、匿名での中傷は減らない可能性もありそうです。 逆に、実名やハンドル名が定着することで「都合の良いことだけを実名やハンドル名で書く」という行為が増える一方で、「都合の悪いことや非難されやすいことは匿名で書く」というのが増えることで、匿名での表現における中傷等の「濃度」が上昇し、以前よりも荒れてしまう可能性もありそうな気がしています。

日本国内で「米国は実名が当たり前」という意見の多くは、日本から米国のネットをざっと見たときの感想のような気がします。 同じように「外からの視点」という意味でいうと、日本でも目立っている人は実名もしくは実名っぽい芸名で活動してたりするので、海外から見ると「日本ではネットで実名が当たり前だ！我が国のネットもそうすべきだ！」という意見が出るのかも知れないと思った今日この頃です。
